Long Biography

Magdalena Ryszkowski is a Polish American concert violinist admired for her expressive artistry, technical mastery, and vibrant stage presence. Her performances have captivated audiences across the United States and Europe—from her acclaimed debut at New York’s Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2002 to appearances at the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Baltic Philharmonic, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. She has also performed at the Kosciuszko Foundation, Paul Recital Hall, and numerous universities and international music festivals throughout the United States and Europe, earning praise for her dynamic interpretations and captivating sound.
Since joining the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in 2009, Magdalena continues to inspire through both her orchestral and solo engagements. Beyond the stage, she is deeply committed to music education and has been a faculty member of the Hendrix College Music Department since 2013, while also maintaining a thriving private teaching studio. Her students have achieved notable success in youth orchestras and violin performance programs.
Her current artistic projects focus on promoting the music of Polish composers such as Wieniawski, Bacewicz, Szymanowski, Lutoslawski, Penderecki and others sharing the beauty and diversity of Poland’s musical heritage with audiences across the United States and abroad.
Magdalena studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Poland, and holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University in New Jersey. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Orchestral Studies from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Magdalena Ryszkowski is a Polish American concert violinist whose performances are renowned for their expressive artistry, radiant tone, and vibrant stage presence. She has appeared across the United States and Europe, including at New York’s Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Baltic Philharmonic, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, as well as at numerous universities and music festivals on both continents.
As a member of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra since 2009, Magdalena continues to inspire through both orchestral and solo performances. She is currently a faculty member of the Hendrix College Music Department, where she shares her passion for music with the next generation of violinists.
Her artistic projects focus on promoting the music of Polish composers to audiences in the United States and abroad, expanding awareness and appreciation of this rich musical heritage.
